I love talking to scientists. Scientists adore their research and gush about it to anyone who shows interest. Unfortunately, they often speak a complicated language, and their work ends up sounding sterile and lifeless. What a waste! Everyone should be able to oohh and ahh over science, as well as benefit from it, not just those who speak the language. I will get these fascinating people to talk about the softer side of science, and their lives, as we chat over coffee (or another kind of drink?) and see what stories and insights emerge.
