About the Podcast

The Socializing With Scientists podcast presents the untold stories of biologists, environmental scientists,  sociologists, and many more -ists. It recounts how their early life built their current life and shares the habits of mind and action (including the sacrifices) that led to their success. And how do they define success, anyway?

Host Rachael Moeller Gorman has written hundreds of articles for magazines like The Scientist, Smithsonian, and EatingWell, and has won several awards for her work, including four James Beard Foundation Journalism Awards; she was also a finalist for a National Magazine Award for a story about salt. She spends her real life doing lots of family stuff with her kids and husband.
